She looked at the excited little orb in the space and couldn’t help but smile. “Not bad. Let’s accumulate energy quickly and head home early.”

“Then let’s keep up the good work and start a new mission immediately~”

Brilliant Tapestry: “...That soon? We haven’t even rested yet.”

The system continued transmitting data by itself.

This world was peculiar, invaded by a horror game. People around the world could be randomly chosen to be drawn into this terrifying game reality.

This time, the mission target was a rich second-generation heiress, also named Brilliant Tapestry. She had been traveling on a bus with her boyfriend Gao Yi and some classmates when they were unfortunately pulled into the horror world.

The original Brilliant Tapestry regretted deeply at the moment of her demise. Gao Yi was just a boyfriend—he was a scumbag, but she could have left him. Instead, she sacrificed her life, only to end up aiding the scumbags. She hated it!

“So, the plot is roughly understood. What’s the mission this time?” Brilliant Tapestry raised an eyebrow at the little orb.

The orb replied in a childish voice, “This mission is special. There are two storylines: the main one is for the original character to survive and escape the horror world alive. There’s also a hidden side quest, but the system can’t unlock any information about it yet. The host will have to explore it on their own.”

Brilliant Tapestry pondered for a moment and asked, “Is the hidden side quest mandatory?”

“Probably not. The system shows no related information, and completing it grants no energy.”

“...” No energy, so who would bother?

Brilliant Tapestry nodded and began preparing for the next world.

A horror game was basically a horror movie, right? Then lightning strikes would do.

“Little orb, can I keep the cultivation from my previous realm?”

The orb answered, “The horror world is a rules-based world. Anything outside the rules cannot be used.”

Brilliant Tapestry rolled her eyes. “So what can I use?”

“Let me see,” the orb searched. “Got it! Host, you have a manual exorcism skill available!”

“Uh... manual exorcism?” Brilliant Tapestry thought for a moment. “Alright, let’s go with that.”

Manual exorcism meant using one’s hands, right? That was her specialty!

Ready, she said, “Alright, little chubby, let’s go.”

The orb protested, “Okay, but wait! Who’s ‘little chubby’? I am not little chubby!!”

As the orb’s childish, somewhat fierce voice faded, Brilliant Tapestry’s vision darkened and her body seemed to float. The next moment, a male voice sharp with irritation rang in her ear.

“Brilliant Tapestry, can you stop causing trouble?!”

Then came the clatter of something crashing to the floor.

Suddenly, an eerie silence fell.

Blinking, she took in her surroundings.

She was in a classroom. The furnishings were old; the ceiling fan creaked and groaned, adding a layer of creepiness to the quiet space.

Besides the people from the trip, there was a group around them, all wearing grim expressions.

Across from her stood a boy in a plaid shirt, blocking a girl in a pale yellow dress with a bun hairstyle behind him. Both frowned deeply, staring at her.

The floor was littered with chalk, fallen from the podium. Many pieces were broken, rolling near several people’s feet. Everyone instinctively stepped back, retreating toward the rear of the classroom.

Realizing the scene, Brilliant Tapestry understood she had just entered the point in the story where she and her boyfriend Gao Yi, along with some classmates, had become trapped in the horror world.

But as she was still shaken, her “good boyfriend” was busy comforting Lu Ke from the foreign language department.

A dispute broke out with Gao Yi. During the argument, she accidentally knocked over the chalk box on the podium, spilling chalk all over the floor...

When everyone regained their senses, someone whispered fearfully, “She broke classroom property! She broke the rules...”

Brilliant Tapestry glanced at the speaker behind her, then looked away to survey the surroundings.

On the blackboard was written “Grade One, Class 5.” Near the classroom entrance, a red paper was posted on the wall, marked “Teacher Assembly Point.”
