A bloody sound of chewing came from outside once more.
This room was no longer safe to stay in.
She quickly lifted the mattress to temporarily block the hole in the wall, then picked up the waiter's uniform and put it on.
This uniform was much like the one from Nanning Middle School—a white shirt paired with black trousers, save for slight differences in the shirt's cut.
Once changed, Fan Sijin noticed a jewelry box resting on the table, and on a whim, she selected a few matching bracelets and an oversized pigeon-blood diamond ring to slip onto her fingers. A diamond of this size could double as a close-combat weapon; dual-purpose and utterly perfect.
Finally, she pulled on the waiter uniform jacket and swaggered out the door.
Fan Sijin had already instructed the system to locate Bai Li in advance, so she leisurely made her way toward him now.
Along the way, muffled whispers drifted faintly from the neighboring rooms.
Clearly, the waiter's uniform was still effective. She smoothly reached the room where Bai Li was and knocked on the door: "Hello, room service."
Inside the room, Bai Li was standing with a blindfold over his eyes. Opposite him, a female patron in a slip dress had her neck constricted by a massive black snake, struggling desperately with terror in her eyes.
She could not comprehend how the previously delicate and seemingly frail prey had suddenly transformed. No, it was not even human—it was a monster!
Just as Bai Li was about to deliver a fatal blow to the woman in the slip, he sensed something, whipped his head toward the door, and then—
A familiar voice rang out: "Hello, room service."
It was her.
Almost instantly, Bai Li recalled the black snake and reached out to grab the still-struggling woman in the slip.
The moment the door was kicked open, he raised a hand to tear open his own outer garment and fell backward onto the bed: "Help..."
The instant Fan Sijin kicked the door open, she saw Bai Li's clothes torn as he was pinned pathetically onto the bed, crying out for help.
Her expression shifted abruptly. She charged straight into the room, slammed the door shut with her backhand, and delivered a flying kick that knocked the woman—who had been aggressively looming over her sweet little puppy—flying.
"Bai Li! How are you? Are you alright?"
Hearing Fan Sijin's voice, Bai Li fumbled blindly until he caught the hem of her clothes, then pulled her into a trembling embrace: "Elder sister, Elder sister, you came to save me... You came to save me..."
"It's okay, it's okay, I'm here. Don't be afraid."

Fan Sijin helped Bai Li up, guiding him back to lean against the wall, and then spun around to grab a nearby telephone, using it to bludgeon the woman in the slip to the floor.
"In broad daylight, you actually dare to commit violent crimes by forcibly seizing innocent men? Have you no shame? Do you have any respect for the law at all?!"
The woman in the slip struggled, hugging her head as she squatted down: "I didn't..."
"You didn't?! You still have the nerve to say you didn't? Do you have any concept of propriety, righteousness, integrity, and honor?" Fan Sijin delivered another whack with the phone.
The woman in the slip wailed aggrievedly: "It wasn't me, it wasn't me, it was him..."
With a soft *thud*, a knife pierced diagonally into the back of the woman's neck.
Fan Sijin froze, watching as Bai Li released his grip and fumbled his way backward, maintaining a look of sheer terror and fright: "Elder sister, the... the monster, is it dead?"
Fan Sijin kicked the woman further away and went to steady him: "Alright, it's over now. The monster is dead."
Only then did Bai Li let out a breath, tears seemingly glistening in his eyes. He reached out to hug her, his entire body still trembling: "It's a good thing you came, Elder sister. I was so scared, I was truly so terrified..."
There were still wounds on his shoulder from when he had previously saved Fan Sijin, and his clothes hung in ragged strips across his body, threatening to expose him at any moment.
Fan Sijin glanced down and clicked her tongue mentally—the sweet little puppy had a rather nice physique... But then again, this garment was completely unwearable now.
After a long period of soothing, Bai Li finally calmed down. Fan Sijin helped him over to sit in another bedroom, spotted a first-aid kit nearby, and walked over to pick it up: "Let me tend to your wounds first."
Bai Li let out a soft "Mn," then began fumbled blindly to strip off his shirt. The moment he moved his shoulder, however, he drew in a sharp breath of pain: "Hiss..."
"Stop moving, let me do it."
Fan Sijin retrieved a pair of scissors from the medical kit and cut away the remaining shreds of his ruined clothing.
His wounded shoulder was exposed. She picked up a cotton swab dipped in iodine to disinfect the area.
The injuries were densely packed, the longest cut measuring about three or four centimeters. Fortunately, they were not overly deep, though they looked somewhat gruesome.
As Fan Sijin gently disinfected the wounds, she unconsciously blew softly against his skin.
The muscles across Bai Li's back stiffened abruptly...
Mistaking it for pain, she quickly offered comfort: "I'll try to be as gentle as I can. Just bear with it a little longer, it'll be done soon."
Bai Li murmured a low "Mn." In the direction where Fan Sijin could not see, beneath the white cloth blindfold, a flash of dark golden light flickered across his eyes.

Fan Sijin noticed nothing amiss, simply assuming that the severe pain of the wounds had caused Bai Li's breathing to grow heavy.
Having finished the disinfection as gently as possible, she pulled out medical wound-closure strips from the kit and carefully applied them over his lacerations.
This way, stitches wouldn't be necessary, which would also aid in the healing process.
With the wounds dressed, Fan Sijin opened the wardrobe to see if she could find any clothing suitable for Bai Li. Since the room's occupant was female, however, the closet contained only women's garments. Rummaging through the racks, she finally managed to unearth an oversized, hip-hop-style shirt.
"Raise your arms, let me help you put this on."
The thought that Bai Li had lost his sight precisely to protect her made Fan Sijin's voice soften instinctively.
"Sorry to trouble you, Elder sister." He obediently stood up and spread his arms.
Only then did Fan Sijin realize that the slender-looking youth before her was actually half a head taller than her, and not nearly as thin as he appeared...
It was just that pretty, harmless face; it was simply too deceptive.
Fan Sijin gently helped him slip the shirt on
