Chapter 15: Who Gave You the Nerve?
“H-How dare he?”
“This is the Fortune Casino, the territory of the Wild Wolf Gang. Does this kid have a death wish?”
“This is bad! It’s one thing to cause trouble at the Fortune Casino, but to injure the guards? He’s like a newborn calf unafraid of a tiger!”
“This kid is doomed! His fate will be unimaginable…”
All the gamblers were alarmed, their eyes wide with disbelief.
The atmosphere inside the Fortune Casino grew grim, especially the captain of the guards. His face darkened as he summoned ten guards to surround Jiang Fan.
“You brat! This is your final warning. Come with us to the third floor to meet the boss! Otherwise, don’t blame us for being ruthless!” the captain said coldly, clearly ready for a fight.
At that moment, all the casino’s guards gathered around Jiang Fan, each wielding a heavy iron rod, their expressions menacing.
Jiang Fan’s face twisted into a grim smile. Not only was he not intimidated, he sneered:
“I’m standing right here today. Let’s see what you can do to me. Besides, I’m convinced you’re cheating. So, what are you going to do about it?”
His words sent a chill through the crowd on the first floor. All betting ceased as everyone braced themselves to witness the punishment awaiting Jiang Fan.
“You really have no shame, kid! Then we have no choice but to be ruthless!” the captain snapped. “Get him! Even if we have to drag this little bastard up to the third floor tied up!”
“Yes, sir!”
The ten burly guards charged at Jiang Fan, iron rods raised, eyes gleaming with hostility.
Jiang Fan let out a cold laugh and charged straight at them.
In his mind, he muttered, “Old Devil Xu, looks like you’re in for some fun again.”
He immediately activated his “Damage Transfer” ability; otherwise, he wouldn’t stand a chance against these giants.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Jiang Fan took several hits from the iron rods but appeared unfazed. Fiercely, he snatched a rod from one of the men and charged the ten guards with ferocity.

Bang bang bang!
Bang bang bang…
Jiang Fan fought fiercely against the ten men. Though he was struck several times, he delivered punishing blows with the iron rod, eliciting anguished cries that echoed like ghosts and wolves howling.
Meanwhile, atop Spirit Descending Mountain, Old Devil Xu had just returned from discussing important matters with the Wild Wolf Gang leader at Wolf Peak. He was pondering how to deal with the person who had tried to scheme him when suddenly, he began to feel sharp pain as though being struck repeatedly by iron rods.
“Ah…”
“Damn it…”
“You son of a…”
“Bring it on…”
“Ah…”
Old Devil Xu cried out in agony. Despite being a cultivator, his cultivation was still not high, and he was not a body-focused cultivator. Naturally, he could not ignore the pain caused by the heavy blows. He cursed incessantly, grimacing in pain.
This continued for over ten minutes, until Jiang Fan single-handedly defeated all ten guards, leaving them powerless.
“What’s going on? Why does Master keep screaming in pain lately?”
“Who knows? Maybe Master is playing some strange divine trick.”
“Quiet, don’t let Master hear or there’ll be trouble…”
In the spacious plaza of Spirit Descending Mountain, a group of young cultivators and children training nearby looked toward Old Devil Xu’s residence in astonishment. Their expressions were full of curiosity and surprise.
Back at the Fortune Casino, fourteen guards lay sprawled behind Jiang Fan, their bones broken and muscles torn, blood staining the floor—a gruesome sight.
“W-What do you want to do? This… this is the Wild Wolf Gang’s territory… you can’t act recklessly…” the captain stammered, fear filling his eyes as Jiang Fan advanced, iron rod in hand. He quickly staggered toward the third floor.

He stumbled up the stairs, shouting, “Boss! Help! Someone’s causing trouble and trying to kill me!”
Jiang Fan remained calm, ignoring the shocked gamblers and glamorous dealers. He carried the iron rod leisurely, following the captain’s steps.
“Who is this kid? So fierce and wild?”
“Who cares who he is? Anyone daring to stir trouble in the Wild Wolf Gang’s turf won’t end well!”
“Doesn’t matter who he is, he’s clearly here to wreck the place! Winning money isn’t enough; he wants to make a scene. The Wild Wolf Gang won’t let him off easily!”
“Few dare to mess with the Fortune Casino, and none who do escape unscathed. This kid is asking for trouble…”
The gamblers watched as Jiang Fan swung the iron rod and climbed to the second floor, their feelings mixed but all convinced he would meet a miserable end.
Jiang Fan soon reached the third floor and kicked the captain to the ground with a scornful sneer, forcing him to eat dirt.
“B-Boss! Save me! Master… save me! The disciple of Xu Xian injured all my men and now wants to beat me too! Help me…” The captain lay on the floor, humiliated and terrified. His gaze sought out a middle-aged man drinking and conversing with several wealthy gentlemen from Ping’an Town.
The middle-aged man and the three wealthy men each had two beautiful women sitting beside them. Their hands roamed freely across the women’s bodies, who responded with coquettish laughter and seductive whispers.
Seeing the captain’s pitiful state, the middle-aged man’s face darkened. He snarled, “You useless fool. You were supposed to guard this place with fourteen men and you couldn’t even manage that. Looks like it’s time to replace you as captain. Now, get lost!”
“Yes… Master!” The captain dared not argue, scrambling to his feet and rolling past Jiang Fan, trying to escape the lavish, spacious room.
“Damn you! You almost hit me!” Jiang Fan swung his rod again, striking the captain’s head until he bled and lost consciousness on the spot.
The middle-aged steward’s face twisted with anger, clearly furious at Jiang Fan’s arrogance and audacity to attack his men in front of him.
He stood up, glaring at Jiang Fan. “Kid, judging by your clothes, you must be a disciple of Xu Xian. It’s one thing to gamble here, but to stir up trouble and attack my men right in front of me? Do you think I’m invisible? Even when beating a dog, you must consider its master. How dare you be so arrogant? Who… gave you the guts?”
