Sang Qiwen thought he had made himself perfectly clear, yet when he looked up to see Lu Wenchuan's reaction, he found the man's brows knit tightly together.

"Sang Brother..." Lu Wenchuan began, about to continue when Sang Qiwen raised a hand to stop him.

"Just a moment, I'm not your brother. You'd better call me Mr. Sang."

Lu Wenchuan paused, then said, "Mr. Sang, it’s true I was wrong before, but my feelings for Yijia are genuine."

"Whether your feelings are genuine isn’t yours alone to decide," Sang Qiwen replied bluntly. "Besides, your Lu family is a renowned lineage. If I’m honest, my Sang family is little more than newly rich—without the heritage your family boasts."

"My little sister isn’t suited for the kind of life your family leads." Sang Qiwen finished his words.

Lu Wenchuan’s brows remained furrowed. After a moment of contemplation, he looked Sang Qiwen straight in the eye. "Earlier, Mr. Sang, you mentioned the possibility of marrying into your family. Would you consider me for that?"

"What?" Sang Qiwen was baffled. What did he mean? Marrying in? Lu Wenchuan? The Lu family? The patriarch of the Lu family would probably break his legs.

Sang Qiwen laughed, certain that Lu Wenchuan would never do such a thing. "Mr. Lu, some words are not to be spoken lightly."

"And what if I actually do it?" Lu Wenchuan pressed.

Sang Qiwen chuckled, "If you did, then I’d have no objections."

"Alright. I accept." With his guarantee secured, Lu Wenchuan turned and left the corridor without looking back.

Sang Qiwen watched Lu Wenchuan’s retreating figure and clicked his tongue, shaking his head. No one would willingly give up their family’s interests. And once Lu Wenchuan was no longer a Lu, Sang Qiwen would have a ready excuse to refuse him anyway.

A penniless Lu Wenchuan simply wasn't worthy of Sang Yijia.

Inside the hospital room.

Sang Qibo examined the recent test results; every indicator of Sang Yijia's health had been checked, and not a single issue was found. Each data point was perfectly normal.

Yet, she still hadn’t awakened.

Their mother waited anxiously outside the room.

Sang Qibo felt a dull ache in his temples. He hadn’t encountered such a case in years. It was a worthy challenge, but if the patient weren’t his own younger sister, he might have felt a bit less troubled.

"For now, we just have to wait and see," Sang Qibo said, unable to do anything else.

"Maybe she'll wake up tomorrow." The attending physician had a copy of the same data, and the more he looked, the more his brow furrowed.

"We all must keep an optimistic outlook."

Sang Qibo didn’t respond. After a while, he circled several items on the chart. "Tonight, monitor her around the clock. Record anything unusual."

"Isn't that a bit too cautious?" someone asked.

Sang Qibo countered, "What if this is something we’ve never seen before? If anything happens to the patient, will you take responsibility?"

For a moment, no one answered.

Sang Qibo took a deep breath. "I’ll stay here tonight. Find a few people to assist me."

"Alright." As Sang Yijia’s third brother, nobody cared more about her condition than he did. He was the most suitable person for the task.

The attending physician closed the case file. "If anything happens, call me."

"Let’s exchange contact numbers in a bit."

"You can also come directly to my office."

Sang Qibo agreed.

Both Sang Yijia and Lan Qing were hospitalized, making it impossible to continue filming. Director Chen waited for news; Lan Qing had awakened and was fine.

But Sang Yijia remained in a symptomless coma, with no telling when she might wake.

After much consideration, Director Chen waved his hand and suspended recording.

The romance show was put on pause, and a notice was posted on Weibo.

Online, the news sent netizens into a frenzy.

Two trending topics appeared in the morning. Lan Qing’s PR team handled things well, suppressing the news in under an hour, but many were still discussing it, even if it didn’t make it to the top.

Yan Ningsi scrolled through Weibo and exclaimed, "I wonder how Jiajia is doing now."

"Should we visit the hospital?" Bian He suggested. "With the show paused, we have nothing else to do."

Yan Ningsi had already sent her assistant to buy gifts. Hearing Bian He’s words, she clicked her tongue. "You make it sound like we’re only visiting Jiajia because we have nothing better to do."

"Good thing we’re not live right now, or you’d get roasted online."

Bian He grinned and waved, "No, no, that won’t happen."

"My assistant’s back. I’ll talk to you later." Yan Ningsi glanced at her WeChat notifications. "I’m heading out now."

"I’ll go with you," Bian He said, jumping up and following Yan Ningsi with a cheerful smile. "I’ll hitch a ride."

"Did you buy a gift?" Yan Ningsi rolled her eyes. "I heard Jiajia’s whole family is there."

"If you show up empty-handed, I won’t take you."

"Relax, I already had someone buy something." Bian He handed his phone to Yan Ningsi, showing her the assistant’s purchase of a fruit basket.

"We’ll meet at the hospital."

Yan Ningsi glanced at the screen and muttered, "That’s more like it."

A crowd of reporters was camped at the hotel entrance, so Yan Ningsi and Bian He avoided the main doors, slipping out through the underground parking lot.

As soon as their car emerged, another vehicle tailed them.

Yan Ningsi spotted it and frowned, annoyed. "These reporters are so irritating, always lurking around. What do they even write about?"

"They’d be better off chasing real news."

Bian He yawned lazily. "It’s entertainment news. If they don’t follow us, what else would they do?"

"Instead of getting angry, you should think about how to respond to the reporters’ questions when we get to the hospital." Bian He had already memorized the responses her agent sent over—some harmless, vague answers to deflect any tricky questions.

Yan Ningsi pouted, dissatisfied, but still began to seriously consider her responses.

Qi Yue only saw the trending WeChat news when she woke up in the afternoon. After staring for a moment, she hurried to call her older brother to confirm if it was true.

"Brother, what happened with Sang Yijia’s coma?"

Qi Bin spent all day working, especially negotiating with Duan Yuqing about a collaboration. He had no time to watch the livestream, let alone check Weibo, and was completely unaware of what had happened to Sang Yijia.

"Little sister, your brother is a very busy man. I don’t have time to gossip about entertainment news." Qi Bin pressed his aching temples. Duan Yuqing’s requirements were simple—she had to be captain of the team, and everyone else was to follow her training arrangements.

It wasn’t a big deal, except the team already had an unofficial captain.

Big brother, you’re so rotten. No matter what, you’re not a match. What will Lu do now?
