Chapter 153: Uchiha Jun
Staring at the life before him, Uchiha Li stood frozen in place.
He had never anticipated such a situation—Tera seemed to have created a ‘self.’
The reason he said “seemed” was because this ‘self’ before him only bore about fifty percent similarity to him.
Slightly shorter in height, with a more delicate build, and long hair.
Most importantly, this ‘self’ was a woman; her physical traits were unmistakably clear...
This was the aspect Uchiha Li found most incomprehensible. He could never have imagined that Tera would create a ‘her.’
“What is this—my clone, or perhaps my ‘daughter’?”
Uchiha Li found the situation utterly absurd, unsure for a moment how to handle it.
After a long while, he finally regained his composure and noticed a clue.
Though this ‘her’ displayed signs of life, she seemingly lacked any self-awareness.
In other words, ‘she’ could not be considered a complete person, at best a rather unusual clone.
For some reason, realizing this brought Uchiha Li a sigh of relief.
If inexplicably there was another conscious self, and one of a completely different gender, he would simply be unable to accept it.
But now, while still bizarre, at least it avoided any ethical controversies.
At that moment, Uchiha Li discovered yet another anomaly.
His Mangekyo Sharingan appeared to be able to connect with this clone before him.
Realizing this, his expression grew peculiar, uncertain whether he should proceed.
If this had been a ‘him,’ he would have had no hesitation, but since this was a ‘her’—still a part of himself—he felt strangely uneasy.
“Maybe I should just try it, just once?”
Muttering to himself, Uchiha Li finally gave in to his curiosity.
Tera had suddenly gifted him this clone for a reason; leaving it untouched felt like a waste.
After all, no matter what, she was still me.
Biting his lip, Uchiha Li made up his mind and began to link his Mangekyo Sharingan to the ‘her’ before him.
After some thought, he conjured a chair of white mist beneath himself and sat down.
Settling in, Uchiha Li faced his clone and started to bridge the connection between his Mangekyo and ‘her.’
Suddenly, his vision dimmed, and in an instant, ‘she’—naked inside a translucent cocoon—opened her eyes.
Supporting herself to sit up, ‘she’ parted her lips, seemingly about to speak.
Unfortunately, the sounds were strange, like a baby babbling unintelligibly—“ee ee ah ah.”
After a long pause, ‘she’ uttered in a peculiar tone, “How... strange!”
No doubt, ‘she’ was now under Uchiha Li’s control.
Or from another perspective, ‘she’ was an extension of Uchiha Li himself, a part of him.
Controlling ‘her’ hands to support her, Uchiha Li tried to stand.
But upon standing, the body wavered precariously due to imbalance.
Thankfully, as a ninja, although in a different body, his control remained sufficient to prevent a fall.
Yet that strange, awkward feeling lingered.
It was like a child trying on adult shoes—ill-fitting and prone to stumbling.
After a long time adapting, Uchiha Li hurriedly guided ‘her’ before his original body, retrieving a sealed scroll from his own arms, from which he took a new set of clothes.
Though ‘she’ was himself, seeing this different and exposed form made Uchiha Li somewhat embarrassed.
“This will have to do for now. Never thought I’d experience something like this.”
Uchiha Li offered a faint, wry smile. After donning the clothes, he used the crystalline surface of the cocoon as a mirror to examine his current appearance carefully.
It seemed that inhabiting another body sharpened his perception of ‘her.’
Uchiha Li was certain now that ‘she’ was indeed a continuation of himself.
Moreover, he sensed some unique traits in ‘her,’ such as the eyes.
Realizing this, Uchiha Li instinctively tried to activate the Sharingan, just as he would with his original body.
“Sharingan, activate!”
With a low command, indeed, ‘her’ Sharingan awakened, and everything before Uchiha Li felt strikingly familiar.
“Is it because I inherently possess the Sharingan, or does ‘she’ have the ability to awaken it on her own?”
He could not be sure, but what was clear was that ‘her’ Sharingan functioned perfectly—not a mere imitation.
“So, can I use ‘her’ to activate the Mangekyo and wield my own Mangekyo abilities?”
“And when I inhabit ‘her,’ what happens to my own Sharingan?”
Questions flooded his mind. Wanting to verify his conjecture, Uchiha Li approached his original body and gently lifted his eyelid.
“I see… so ‘she’ truly has the Sharingan.”
Observing the still-active eye in his original body, Uchiha Li understood.
Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, he mused, “So now, it’s as if I am entering ‘her’ body through a Rinnegan-like control over my clone.”
To confirm this, Uchiha Li began experimenting with ‘her’ Sharingan.
After some trials, he found that while inhabiting ‘her,’ he could indeed activate the Mangekyo.
Based on residual data from the Mangekyo, ‘she’ had even inherited the Amaterasu ability from Uchiha Li’s original Mangekyo.
However, the most vital Tera element within Uchiha Li’s original body did not manifest in ‘her.’
This discovery indicated that while ‘she’ possessed some power, it was limited.
Uchiha Li was also certain that ‘her’ Mangekyo was the most ordinary type, lacking the augmentation of the original’s First Generation cells.
“So, a clone remains just a clone. To wield full power, I still need my original body.”
Confirming this, Uchiha Li felt both a twinge of regret and a wave of relief.
This distinction between original and clone was not necessarily a bad thing—the clearer the boundary, the better.
For Uchiha Li, the self was paramount; this must never become blurred.
Having grasped this, his thoughts expanded.
“Since ‘she’ is different from me, ‘she’ deserves her own name.”
“After all, ‘her’ existence completes the final piece I envisioned for Tera’s clones.”
“With ‘her,’ the Tera assembly already scheduled can accomplish much more.”
A notoriously bad namer, Uchiha Li pondered for a long time.
Finally, he decided to name ‘her’...
Uchiha Jun.
