Facing someone as mad as a rabid dog like Gu Zhiheng, everyone was left with a debilitating headache, filled with profound and bitter regret!
Had they known such a day would come, they truly would have preferred that Mo Han had been utterly finished off by this fellow that very night.
Even that outcome would not have been entirely unacceptable, far better than having their aged faces beaten into swollen pig heads by someone else.
Looking at Gu Zhiheng's frenzied state, they regretted it to their bones; this madman was nothing less than a rabid dog!
"Your Excellency, let's call it a day with a proper limit! Weren't we supposed to stop at the point of mutual understanding?" The elderly patriarch of the Mo family simply could not endure this grievance any longer. Having lived for so many years, this was the absolute first time he had ever suffered such bullying.
"Stop at the point of understanding? That applied to what this Lord meant, not to you honored ones!" Gu Zhiheng gave a direct flick of his sleeve, sending the patriarchs sprawling flat onto the ground—a total annihilation of their entire forces!
"My Lord, you play without any martial virtue! You are using your strength to bully the weak!" The representative of the Winged Tiger clan was practically on the verge of tears, weeping from bullying at his advanced age.
"Indeed, indeed! How could a bunch of people like us possibly be a match for Your Excellency? Please spare us!"
"We truly are no match for the Great God! Just grant us mercy and show a little face!"
"Your Excellency, please raise your noble hand and let us go!"
"..."
They began to beg for mercy, utterly unable to take any more of Gu Zhiheng's torment.
To describe the gap between their cultivation realms and his as merely vast would be an understatement; he was high up in the heavens, while they were languishing deep, deep beneath the earth.
This was entirely a one-sided output of violence. If not for the shred of dignity they desperately tried to maintain, they really would have burst into tears.
If they weren't already advanced in years and burdened with numerous descendants and progeny, they would have wept aloud no matter what tonight. Gu Zhiheng was simply going too far in his bullying.
"Have you honored ones forgotten how you treated this Lord back then? When this Lord begged for mercy, you completely ignored me!" Looking down from on high at the figures sprawled on the ground, Gu Zhiheng felt a lot more comfortable inside.
Now that he thought about it, if not for these people, he would never have realized that there is always someone better, and heavens beyond the skies!
However, that had not the slightest connection to the fact that they had deliberately slapped him in the face. This grudge had to be settled today, and he was going to give them a thorough thrashing.
Presently, this was merely the appetizer. The normal sparring was yet to come, and he wanted them to truly taste despair.
"You unprincipled brat! You won't even spare a group of old folks, resorting to such shameless sneak attacks!" The wild boar spirit snorted with smoke pouring from his nose; Gu Zhiheng held grudges far too deeply, and he had genuinely been beaten into a fat pig's head.
"Unprincipled? Hahahaha! When this Lord has already cast aside all shame, would I care about such trivialities?"
"Besides, this Lord has lived in the lower three realms for over ten thousand years. How do you have the unmitigated gall to call yourselves old folks and accuse me of bullying the elderly?"
"The only ones lacking martial virtue are you lot, ganging up on the few, and even more shamelessly bullying the lone with many. This Lord has already shown you plenty of face. If you aren't satisfied, we can do one-on-one, and this Lord doesn't mind at all!"
Arrogant, overbearing, disdainful of everything in sight.
Yezheng, this was the true Yezheng, the man who held absolute contempt for the world.
"Enough. I'm done playing with you, I'm going home to sleep." Waving his hand, he turned and walked away.
He had simply felt a sudden surge of irritation upon seeing those few, and recalling the anger of when they had slapped his face and beaten him into a pig's head, he had wanted to return every bit of it to them.
He did this precisely to infuriate them, to let them experience being a pig's head for once, to make them taste what it was like to be laughed at. Who told them to take advantage of someone when they were down?
"Phew, he's finally gone. My face is utterly ruined."
"Same here. Starting today, I am going into seclusion and stepping out for no one. This is too utterly humiliating."
"I'm not going out either. I've really been beaten into a pig's head this time; I won't be able to hold my head up in the future. Too shameful."
"I don't want to go out either, especially anywhere near the vicinity of the Scarlet Spirit Lord. Even if it kills me, I won't show up there."
"Let us part ways here today. We shall meet again only after my psychological trauma has healed!"
Bidding each other farewell, they vanished one by one through teleportation. They had truly disgraced themselves to the utmost limit today.
Upstairs, Mo Han and Chu Xingran watched them depart, finally letting out unrestrained, bold laughter. Those old men had been beaten in the most miserable fashion imaginable.
Whatever they had inflicted upon Gu Zhiheng back then, Gu Zhiheng had returned to them manifold today. Not only were their faces swollen like pig heads, but they probably had bruises all over their entire bodies by now!
That would teach them to run their mouths, accusing Gu Zhiheng of lacking martial virtue and failing to respect his elders. If not for their flapping tongues, they wouldn't have received such a savage beating.
"Hey, those old patriarchs are quite amusing. What on earth were they doing wandering around in front of A-Heng? Now look at how badly they've been bullied!" Chu Xingran leaned into Mo Han's embrace, watching the group of elders scatter in all directions.
"Change your clothes, I'll take you out for a stroll in a bit. The Mo family estate is quite vast." Gazing at Chu Xingran with deep pampering, his eyes refused to leave her for even a second.
Chu Xingran asked gently, "None of your relatives are the dramatic, troublesome kind, right? I'm afraid my temper might snap and cause you trouble."
She never liked being around overly dramatic people; her usual reaction to such characters was either to deliver a few sharp slaps directly or physically toss them out.
Before Mo Han could answer, Chu Xingran turned to change into a loose, comfortable outfit, simply tying her hair into a high ponytail, and appeared before Mo Han completely bare-faced. "How is it? Will I look lifeless without makeup?"
She felt it was fine anyway. Since the two of them had already registered their marriage and were truly together now, she saw no need to dress up exquisitely every single day.
"Not at all. You look wonderful no matter what. In my eyes, you are forever the most beautiful one." He smiled before going off to change his own clothes.
Still feeling that going out entirely without makeup wasn't quite right, Chu Xingran lightly brushed her eyebrows and applied a subtle, pale shade of lipstick, which instantly made her look much more spirited.
By the time Mo Han emerged in fresh attire, Chu Xingran had already gone downstairs, sitting in the courtyard accompanied by a young child.
It was a little boy, the son of Mo Bai, who was already ten years old this year.
His features were far more delicate than those of his father, Mo Bai, and he gave off an air of precocious maturity—not resembling Mo Bai at all, but rather bearing a striking resemblance to Mo Han himself.
"Great Uncle, Auntie says you're going out. Are you going to go see that group of old grandpas again?" The boy was called Mo Ji, and even his speech patterns were very much like his Great Uncle Mo Han.
Everyone whispered that Mo Bai had been picked up off the streets by the Mo family, but deep down, everyone knew very well that he was Mo Han's own flesh and blood brother. It was just that everyone preferred to keep up appearances and pretend not to notice.
Since he had been brought into the Mo family estate anyway, and Madam Mo had passed away long ago, no one cared about such details anymore. Thus, everyone acted as if nothing was amiss, playing dumb and carrying on as usual.
